800 MHz Advisory Board
The 800 MHz Advisory Board is comprised of representatives from the different agencies which are served by the Sarpy County Communications Center. The powers of the Advisory Board are: Information Sharing: Review reports on the operation of the 800MHzIdentifying Emerging Enhancements and Technological Changes: Attempt to identify emerging enhancements for the 800MHz system and its use. The Board shall assess and determine whether technology of 800 MHz system should be changed or updated. Levels of Service: The members of the Board shall familiarize themselves with the current level of 800 MHz system service technology and the use and application of that technology in the areas served by the system. The Board offers assistance and advice during reviews of technological levels and aid in determining whether to change such levels in any portion or part of the system. Selection of the Director of the Communications Department: The Board shall assist and be involved in the selection of the Director of the Communications Center. Operating Manual: The Board shall develop a standard operating procedure manual for the users of the 800MHz System and for the Sarpy County Communications Department. Annual Budget: Assists the Director of Communications in preparing an annual operational budget for the upcoming fiscal year and assist the Director in presenting such budget to the Sarpy County Board of Commissioners.
