COMMUNICATIONS SYSTEM ADVISORY BOARD
The Communications Advisory Board Committee was convened in open and public session on November 7, 2001, at 5:30 PM, in the Sarpy County Board Meeting Room. The following members or alternates were present: John Stacey, Travis Mayer, Rod Beuthe, Steve Betts, Pat Archibald, Rich Schmitz and LT York. Absent: Mike Mann, Louie Post, Paul Schultz, Pat Thomas and Mark Wayne. Notice of the meeting was given in advance by publication in the Bellevue Leader and the Papillion Times. Copies of the Proofs of Publication are on file in the Sarpy County Clerks Office. All proceedings were taken while the convened meeting was open to the attendance of the public.
Mayer moved, seconded by Betts, to approve the minutes of the August 1, 2001 meeting. Motion passed unanimously.
Director's Report: Dan Peterson reported on an occurence of audio fading, and asked that any degraded communications be reported for investigation. The Sarpy County Board has reduced the proposed FY2002 budget by $18,000. A Qwest adjustment will increase telecommunications costs by an unanticipated $17,000. US Postal Service lists of substance mailings which are being misreported as anthrax are being provided to dispatch. The new LRMS Client is being used by all departments except for Bellevue, where it is being installed. The JRMS Conversion is due November 14, when dual data entry is to begin. The SCA MDC was demonstrated today, and is 99% functional except for a screen size issue.

After determining the agenda for the January 1, 2002 meeting, Mayer moved, seconded by Schmitz to adjourn at 5:44 P.M. Motion passed unanimously.
