COMMUNICATIONS SYSTEM ADVISORY BOARD
The Communications Advisory Board Committee was convened in open and
public session on July 7, 1999, at 5:35 PM, in the Sarpy County Board Meeting Room. The
following members or alternates were present: John Stacey, Dan Hoins, Travis Mayer,
Guy Tramp, Steve Betts, Mark Wayne, Tom Koksal.
Absent: LaVista Fire Chief, Papillion Fire Chief, Louie Post and Mark Stoddard.
Notice of the meeting was given in advance by publication in the Bellevue Leader and the Papillion Times. Copies of the Proofs of Publication are on file in the Sarpy County Clerk's Office. All proceedings were taken while the convened meeting was open to the attendance of the public.
Stacey moved, seconded by Mayer, to approve the minutes of the May 5, 1999 meeting. Motion passed unanimously.
Dan Peterson began the Director's Report reporting no major system performance problems have occurred since the last meeting. Personnel Status: He briefed the continuing shortage, with 26 qualified dispatchers. We are identifying five new hires. Budget: The FY2000 Budget was submitted but costs may be reduced through sharing agreements with Douglas County. Miscellaneous: Peterson briefed highlights of his quarterly status report to Commissioners.
President Hoins has nothing to report.
Stacey moved, seconded by Koksal, to approve recommending the draft Douglas-Sarpy interlocal agreement to the Sarpy County Board. Motion passed unanimously.
Stacey moved, seconded by Tramp, to reelect the current President, Vice-President and Secretary. Motion passed unanimously.
Mayer moved, seconded by Stacey, to hold the next meeting on August 4, 1999. Motion passed unanimously.
After determining the agenda for the August 4, 1999 meeting, Tramp moved, seconded by Betts, to adjourn at 6:05 P.M. Motion passed unanimously.
