COMMUNICATIONS SYSTEM ADVISORY BOARD
The Communications Advisory Board Committee was convened in open and public session on September 6, 2000, at 5:30 PM, in the Sarpy County Board Meeting Room. The following members or alternates were present: Len Houloose, John Stacey, Pat Archibald, Steve Betts, Louis Post, Guy Tramp, Bo Addleman, Bill Roche, Travis Mayer, Mark Wayne. Absent: Papillion Fire Chief and Pat Thomas. Notice of the meeting was given in advance by publication in the Bellevue Leader and the Papillion Times. Copies of the Proofs of Publication are on file in the Sarpy County Clerks Office.
All proceedings were taken while the convened meeting was open to the attendance of the public.
Post moved, seconded by Wayne, to approve the minutes of the July 5, 2000 meeting. Motion passed unanimously.
Peterson reported that Communications Center personnel consist of 26 qualified, 4 in training and 2 more identified to begin training. Neil Johnson joined the agency on September 1. Interference noticed in western Sarpy County may be seasonal due to tropospheric ducting, according to Neil Johnson. Users should report any interference so that causes can be investigated and remedies can be instituted. The Springfield paging move will occur after system optimization. The FY2001 Budget is scheduled to be approved on September 12, and breakdowns will be sent to the cities soon thereafter. John Prince provided comments on the Printrak Project.

After determining the agenda for the November 1, 2000 meeting, Betts moved, seconded by Tramp to adjourn at 5:50 P.M. Motion passed unanimously.
