A paramedic is part of the fire department – many times they wear the same uniform. They have additional training that lets them help you if you are injured.
Paramedics come out to
help when someone is hurt. You'll see them in an ambulance and if you
have to go to the hospital, you will ride in the back on a special kind of bed
on wheels called a stretcher.
