| The TDD
(Telecommunications Device for the Deaf) machine is built directly into
our CAD system. The computer recognizes the incoming tones and will
automatically send a message to the caller to let them know they have
reached the Comm Center. There are 8 pre-programmed questions/statements
that will be sent to the caller with the touch of a key. This allows the
dispatcher to create a call for service while still keeping contact with
the reporting party.
