• Welcome to the Sarpy County Assessor's web site

The assessor's office is located in the main courthouse at 1210 Golden Gate Drive in Papillion. The office is responsible for establishing the value of real property and personal property for the purpose of taxation.

On June 1st of each year the County Assessor updates the website, Property Lookup, with new property information. This information, along with updated assessed values, is provided for the purpose of review of the assessment records by the general public.

Notice of Valuation Change Information:

On or before June 1, the county assessor will send notification to the owner of record as of May 20, of every real property parcel that has been assessed at a different value than the previous year. Traditionally, this notification has been sent in letter format and inserted in an envelope of various sizes.

In 2010, the Sarpy County Assessor's Office reduced the cost of mailing. The annual Notice of Valuation Change was changed to a simple golden rod colored postcard. This saves taxpayer dollars on printing and postage while providing all the necessary information to property owners about their property's assessed value. This change comes after the great response we had to sending courtesy postcard reminders to those filing Personal Property Forms in 2009. The effort saved taxpayers money by avoiding late filing penalties.
