Sarpy County CASA Program is affiliated to the Nebraska CASA Association and the National CASA Association.

Sarpy County CASA Program was created in 1986 by Juvenile Court Judge Bill Staley, who appointed Laurie Adams as CASA Coordinator. Laurie led the program for ten years. Georgie Scurfield was appointed as Coordinator in 1996, and was joined by Kay Nikodym as Administrative Assistant in 2004.
Sarpy County CASA Program was the first CASA Program in the Nebraska, and a founder member of the Nebraska CASA Association which currently has 21 affiliated programs. Nebraska CASA Association is based in Lincoln, Nebraska.
59 Sarpy County CASA Volunteers are currently serving 91 abused and neglected children.
