Commissioner Don Kelly is the Sarpy County Commissioner from the 1st District. He was elected into office in January, 2013. His term expires December, 2016.  He has served as a Subcouncil Six Representative on the Learning Communities of Douglas and Sarpy Counties. 

Commissioner Kelly is a graduate of the University of Nebraska and holds a Masters Degree from Embry Riddle University in Florida and a Masters Degree from the Air University in Alabama.

Don serves on the Board of Directors of the Bellevue Chamber of Commerce, the 55th Wing Association, the Air Force Association and the Papillion La Vista Schools Foundation.  He is also an active member of the Offutt Advisory Council, the Omaha Chamber of Commerce's Military Affairs Advisory Group, the Sarpy County Chamber and Trinity Lutheran Church. 

Don serves under the Board Committees of Budget & Finance and Stadium. He is also a liaison representative for the Sarpy County Economic Development Corporation.  All Commissioners serve on the Noxious Weed, E-911 Shared Services, Board of Corrections and Negotiations Committees.

Don is a Senior Program Manager at MacAulay-Brown, Inc. and is a retired USAF Colonel.  He and his wife, Melinda, reside in Papillion and have two sons - Michael and Sean.

Jim Thompson is the Sarpy County Commissioner from District 2.  He took office on January 6, 2011 and re-elected for a second term: January, 2015 thru December 31, 2018.  Commissioner Thompson serves on the Legislative and Stadium Committees. He is also a liaison representative for the Nebraska Association of County Officials (NACO). All Commissioners serve on the Noxious Weed, E-911 Shared Services, Board of Corrections and Negotiations Committees.

Commissioner Thompson is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame.  He also has a MBA from Creighton and a Masters Degree in School Administration from UNO.  Thompson has been involved in many community organizations including the Sarpy YMCA, Teammates, Big Brothers/Big Sisters, the Lions Club, the Papillion/La Vista Schools Foundation and several Chambers of Commerce.

Jim has lived in the Metro area for 56 years and has been a Sarpy County resident since 1975.  He and wife Nancy have four grown children and six grandchildren.

Tom Richards is the Sarpy County Commissioner from the 3rd District.  He was first elected into office in January, 2009. Commissioner Richards was re-elected to a second term and his term now continues through December, 2016.

Commissioner Richards currently serves as liaison representative for the Metropolitan Area Planning Agency Board of Directors and sits on the Budget & Finance and Legislation Committees. All Commissioners serve on the Noxious Weed, E-911 Shared Services, Board of Corrections and Negotiations Committees.

Mr. Richards is a graduate of the University of Nebraska - Omaha and holds a bachelors degree in Criminal Justice. He served as Bellevue City Councilman from 1990-1994. He has twice chaired the Board for the Bellevue Chamber of Commerce.  He and wife, Gina, have two sons, Ryan and Ben.  Ryan is married to daughter-in-law Cassy.

Chairman Brenda Carlisle is the Sarpy County Commissioner from the 4th District.  She took office in January, 2013. Her term expires December, 2016.

Commissioner Carlisle serves on the Cell Phone Committee and is a liaison for Human Services & Eastern Nebraska 6 County Human Services Governing Board, Sarpy/Cass Department of Health and Wellness, and Heartland Workforce Solutions.  All Commissioners serve on the Noxious Weed, E-911 Shared Services, Board of Corrections and Negotiations Committees.

Currently Ms. Carlisle serves as President of the Sarpy County Museum and Vice Chairman of the Sarpy County Chamber of Commerce Legislative Committee.  Carlisle has previously served as a Big Sister with Big Brothers/Big Sisters, the Sarpy County Health Departments Committee for a Healthier Community, Youth Volleyball Coach, Citizen Police Academy, President US Postal Service Metro Postal Advisory Committee, and the Sarpy County Economic Development Board. ¬†She also served as Membership Chair, President and VP of Finance for the local chapter of Purchasing/Inventory Managers (ISM).

Commissioner Carlisle is a life-long resident of Sarpy County and has lived in La Vista for 25 years. Ms. Carlisle served the past 18 years as a member of the La Vista City Council and served on the La Vista Planning Commission for 4 years prior to running for City Council.

Jim Warren is the Sarpy County Commissioner from District 5.  He took office on January 11, 2011 and was re-elected for a second term January 2015 thru December 31, 2018.  He has previously served on the Gretna City Council and as Gretna's Mayor.

Commissioner Warren serves as liaison representative for the Criminal Justice Coordinating Committee and Merit Commission. All Commissioners serve on the Noxious Weed, E-911 Shared Services, Board of Corrections and Negotiations Committees.

Commissioner Warren holds a degree from Toccoa Falls College (Toccoa Falls, Georgia).

Warren considers "community service" very important to him and is involved in numerous community activities including the Gretna Volunteer Fire and Rescue Department and Gretna Chamber. His roots in the Gretna area go as far back as his Great Grandfather. Jim is a former business owner and is currently working with "Journey Church of Gretna" which was founded in 2009.  Jim also spends time in Haiti doing volunteer work.

He and his wife, Patti, reside in Gretna and have three children - Daughter Jamie, son Josiah and daughter Sarah.
