Law Enforcement West
The LE West (Law Enforcement West) channel is responsible for dispatching officers/deputies for:
*LaVista Police Department: uniformed road patrol, investigators, and school resource officers
*Papillion Police Department: uniformed road patrol, investigators, and school resource officers
*Sarpy County Sheriff's Office: uniformed road patrol and school resource officers
This dispatcher is constantly updating incidents for many different reasons. When an officer is dispatched to a call, the dispatcher will log into the call their arrival time, any activity they perform while on the call, if they change locations, and when they "go back in service" which makes them available to handle the next incident.
The dispatcher is the officer’s life-line. If an officer were to get into trouble such as a fight with someone, the dispatcher is the one who will send more units and the necessary resources to handle the situation for the best possible (and fastest) resolution for all persons involved.
