2002 Annual Report to the State Emergency Response Commission

Guests were Ted Argintean, Douglas County Local Emergency Planning Committee, and Bob Bankey, Charles Bass, and Phil Lehman from the Defense Threat Reduction Agency Springfield Research Facility.

Guests were Mr. Dennis Svoboda, State Emergency Response Commission (SERC) Coordinator and Assistant Chief Dan Wright from Lincoln Fire Department and member of the Lincoln-based Urban Search and Rescue (US&R) Team.

    September 11, 2002: Jeff Book, Bob DeVriendt, Gary Fliehmann, Marilyn Gable, Robin Gullie, Jane Hedges, Scott Keep, J.J. Kuzma, Joe Mastandrea, Wade Peterson, Tim Schram, Maria Reiter, Matt Wallace, Dick Williams, Steve Young. Guests were Jim Rogers, Douglas County Emergency Management Agency Assistant Director, and Rob Reiter.

  3. During this period, 46 facilities filed SARA Title III Tier II reports with SCEPC. Tier II reports are filed in the Emergency Management Office and are available for public inspection. During this period, ten public and numerous responder information requests were handled. One non-reporting facility was identified during this period, notified of the reporting requirements, and reported for the first time.
  4. The Sarpy County Emergency Response Plan, which is contained within the Sarpy County Local Emergency Operations Plan (LEOP), was updated on September 15 2002. The current revision introduced a Terrorism Appendix to the Law Enforcement Annex.
