The Sarpy County Local Emergency Planning Committee was convened in open and public session on June 30, 2004 at 7:30 PM at Bellevue West High School. The following members or alternates were present according to the sign-in sheet: Pat Clarke (for Jeff Reicks), Paul Wagner, Dave Eblin (for Robin Gullie), Joseph Mastandrea, Bob DeVriendt, Bruce Scharton, Robert Reiter (for Maria Reiter), Jane Nitchals, Dick Williams, Louis Wilson, JJ Kuzma, Scott Keep, Stephen Smith (for Jeff Book), Jason Johnson, Tom Hanson, Ron Clark, Carol ODonnell and Keith Deiml. Geusts included Dave Szymanski of BVFD, Jane Hedges of Midlands Hospital and Rich Moss of DPC Industries. Advanced notice of meeting was published in the Bellevue Leader and Papillion Times. Copies of Proof of Publication are on file in the Sarpy County Clerks Office. All proceedings were taken while the convened meeting was open to the attendance of the public.

BOARD REPORTS:
Presidents Report: The President advised that no reportable releases since the last meeting. One small spill that did not meet reporting criteria, a suspicious envelope and two public inquiries were reported since the last meeting.
Secretary: Paul Wagner moved, seconded by Bob DeVriendt, to approve the minutes of the March 10, 2004 LEPC Minutes as printed and distributed electronically. After no discussion the motion passed unanimously.
COMMITTEE REPORTS:
Exercise: The following exercises are being planned and coordinated:
Financial: No activity
Training:
Plans: LEOP revisions are needed this month for submission to the State.
Legislative: The next SERC meeting is Tuesday, 7/20 in Lincoln.
Outreach: Volunteers are needed to staff the LEPC Booth at the County Fair. Contact Steve Young at the Papillion PD to sign up.
OLD BUSINESS: Please advise Louie Wilson if your organization would like to join the rotation of facilities that host LEPC meetings.
NEW BUISNESS: Ron Clark moved that a Community Emergency Response Team representative be invited to join the LEPC, seconded by Louie Wilson. Motion passed unanimously. Louie Wilson invited any member to present or show a short video demonstrating their disaster role at any LEPC meeting. He also thanked the Bellevue School District for hosting the meeting this month.
With no further business, JJ Kuzma moved, seconded by Jane Hedges to adjourn at 8:17 PM. Motion carried.
PROGRAM
Dave Eblin asked for volunteer fire department assistance for the Offutt Air Show on August 21 and 22. He then described the capabilities of the new OAFB decontamination equipment and invited the group out to the parking lot to see it in action. The demonstration lasted until 9 PM and was appreciated by the attendees.
