October 26, 1997 Blizzard

Sarpy County was among the counties for which the Federal Emergency Management Agency has declared a major Federal Disaster. This declaration allowed certain types of assistance related to damage to public property. Sarpy County has issued press releases regarding blizzard recovery operations:

• The second round of countywide debris removal
• The first round of debris removal in Sanitary Improvement Districts
• Food safety after power outages
• What to do about saving damaged trees
