A Message from the Emergency Program Manager

Disasters have become more frequent and costly in the last few years. They disrupt routine and leave people homeless and unemployed.  Disasters can devastate an entire community - but it doesn't have to be that way.

Much can be done to prevent or reduce the impact of emergencies and disasters. We can minimize loss and suffering - mitigate and manage emergencies and disasters. As outlined in its mission statement and in its vision for the future, the Sarpy County Emergency Management Agency works to reduce risks, strengthen support systems and help individuals and the community prepare for and cope with disasters regardless of the cause. Please visit our pages and get to know our staff, our services, the hazards present in Sarpy County, and how you can prepare yourself to respond to emergencies and disasters. Check out the free FEMA responder and response support training courses and descriptions. If you're interested in free training, use this form to register. Visit:
