Sarpy County LEPC to Meet
The Sarpy County LEPC will meet on Wednesday night, November 8, 2006. Check out the next meeting agenda, and please attend or
make sure that your alternate attends.
Tuesday, January 9, 2007 at 1 P.M., in Lincoln.
Thanks to the LEPC members who attended the Region 7 LEPC Conference,
which was held in Omaha August 21-24, 2003. Instructors have posted
some of their presentations, since attending one session precludes you from attending the
other five.
Governor Mike Johanns proclaimed the week of March 25 through 29,
2002 as Hazardous Materials Awareness Week. LEPC Public Service Announcements were
distributed to local TV and Radio stations. View the TV PSA.

LEPC Funding Bill - The Nebraska Legislature considered LB262 on Wednesday, January
31, 2001, but it failed to pass. Stay tuned, as it may be revised and submitted
again.
Nebraska EPCRA Law Signed - The Nebraska Emergency Planning and
Community Right-to-Know Act, authored by Senator Preister, and passed by a vote of 46-0 in
the unicameral. Governor Nelson signed the bill on Monday, June 2, 1997. Congratulations
Governor Nelson, Senator Preister, and all Nebraskans.
