Office and Highway Department main office is located
on 84th and Platteview Road.
The Sarpy County Surveyors
Office and Highway Department's main function is to
maintain and make improvements to the county roadways.
This office is responsible for preserving survey records,
which are used by outside firms to survey within the
county. This office designs new roadways and structures,
maintains existing roadways and prepares contracts
for roadway projects. We communicate with many outside
engineering firms and construction contractors as
well as the general public.
Tom Lynam has worked
in the Surveyor's Office for more than twenty-one
years, the last seven years as the Elected Official,
and as Deputy Surveyor for one and one half years
prior to serving as the County Surveyor. Tom served
as President of the Professional Surveyors Association
of Nebraska in 1996-1997, he also was a member of
the Board of Directors for the same organization.
