Sarpy County

Fairview Road 156th to 168th

Sarpy County Environmental Services, along with Lessard Contracting Incorporated, will close Fairview Road, between 156th and 168th, for landfill capping activities.  The closure will commence at 7:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 14, 2017 and is scheduled to last until Saturday, September 30, 2017, weather permitting. The contractor is hauling fill material to the landfill cap over a portion of the roadway.

We are asking the traveling public to be aware of the closure and to find alternate routes of travel. Local traffic will be allowed to access all properties throughout the construction.

Pflug Road, Fishery Road to 228th Street

Beginning Wednesday May 31, 2017 @ 12:00 P.M., Sarpy County Public Works has closed Pflug Road from  Fishery Road to 228th Street to through traffic.  Erosion and slope stability issues have caused an emergent condition which required the roadway to be closed.  Project duration and corrective work is forthcoming.

72nd Street, Capehart to Platteview Roads

Update: August 9, see pictures below of today's mainline paving. Nearly half the paving is now complete. The photos are from Fairview Road south.

Beginning Monday June 12, 2017, 72nd Street will be closed between Platteview Road and Capehart Road for the reconstruction of 72nd Street.  Platteview Road, Capehart Road and 84th Street will be the detour route.  The closure is expected to last until 12/31/2017.  Project Representative: John Gjersvik, Charles Vrana & Son Construction (402) 306-4934.

Fairview Road Closing 114th to 120th

Beginning Monday, July 24, 2017 Sarpy County Public Works will be closing Fairview

Road from 114th Street to 120th Street. They will be removing an existing metal

culvert and replacing with a larger metal culvert and re-profiling the roadway.

It is anticipated the project will be completed in two weeks, weather permitting.

We are asking the traveling public to be aware of the road closure and the appropriate

detours.

NOTE: Residents along this roadway will be allowed access to their property

during this time of construction.

132nd & Giles Intersection/Road Closures

Beginning Monday morning, July 17, 2017 at 9:00 a.m. Sarpy County Public Works will be closing the intersection of 132nd Street and Giles Road. The intersection will be closed in all directions for grading, utility relocations, placement of drainage pipes and paving.

Project Time: 75 working days (M-F), weather permitting. Approximate completion with weather allowances will be mid-November.

Cornhusker Road, Hwy 31 to 192nd St EMERGENCY CLOSURE

 Sarpy County Public Works has closed Cornhusker Road from HWY 31 to 192nd Street to thru traffic.  The bridge west of the railroad undercrossing has been closed due to an emergent condition.   The bridge is closed to all traffic, and the roadway closure will be in effect until further notice.

We are asking the traveling public to be aware of the closure and to find alternate routes of travel.  Local traffic will be allowed to access all properties throughout construction.
