To The Sarpy County Board of Commissioners: The Sarpy County Planning Commission held its regular monthly meeting Wednesday, February 16, 2000 in the County Board Room at the Sarpy County Courthouse, Papillion, Nebraska. Chair Meyer called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. with the following members present: Charles Buller, Charles Denny, Bill Leonard, John Johnson, Marcia Matthies, Wendy Gottsch, and Thomas Wees. Absent was Denny Nichols and Alan Wear. Ken Tex, Sarpy County Planning and Zoning Coordinator, Tamra Walz, Sarpy County Deputy Attorney and Cindy Gilbert, Recording Secretary were also present. Chair Meyer asked for any reports from commissioners. There were none.
1. Cindy Petersen (Van Buren Acres), 22655 Cary Street, Gretna, Nebraska requests approval of a special use permit to build and operate a private kennel on the following described property, to wit: Lot 1, Van Buren Acres, located in part of the SW1/4 of the NW1/4 of Sec 23, Twp 14N, Rng 10E of the 6th P.M., Sarpy County, Nebraska . (225th & Cary St) (LETTER OF WITHDRAW)
2. Sarpy R & R Company, Hwy 50 and Riha Road, Springfield, Nebraska requests approval of a final plat on a subdivision to be known as Meadow Oaks South on the following described property, to wit: A tract of land located in the S1/2 of the S1/2 of Sec 10, Twp 12N, Rng 11E of the 6th P.M., Sarpy County, Nebraska. George & Dixie Dunn, 9191 Platteview Road, Papillion, Nebraska requests approval of a change of zone from AG to BG (Lot 1) and from AG to AGD (Lot 2) on the following described property, to wit: Tax Lot 9B located in the NE1/4 of the NW1/4 of Sec 22, Twp 13N, Rng 12E of the 6th P.M., Sarpy County, Nebraska (90th & Platteview Road) =s-A-Rosa Estates indicated that he and others he had spoke to have no objections to what the Dunn family have planned. Chair Meyer entertained a motion the change the zone followed by the preliminary/final plat.

George & Dixie Dunn, 9191 Platteview Road, Papillion, Nebraska requests approval of a preliminary/final plat on a subdivision to be known as Dunn =s Place on the following described property, to wit: Tax Lot 9B located in the NE1/4 of the NW1/4 of Sec 22, Twp 13N, Rng 12E of the 6th P.M., Sarpy County, Nebraska (90th & Platteview Road)
5. Joyce Stark, 611 Highway 6, Gretna, Nebraska requests approval of a change of zone from AG to REI on the following described property, to wit: Part of Tax Lot 5B, located in the NW1/4 of the NE1/4 of Sec 32, Twp 14N, Rng 11E of the 6th P.M., Sarpy County, Nebraska. (185th & Highway 370)
6. Joyce Stark, 611 Highway 6, Gretna, Nebraska requests approval of a preliminary/final plat on a subdivision to be known as Christine =s Way on the following described property, to wit: Part of Tax Lot 5B, located in the NW1/4 of the NE1/4 of Sec 32, Twp 14N, Rng 11E of the 6th P.M., Sarpy County, Nebraska. (185th & Highway 370)
7. Wilson Concrete, 802 Allied Road, LaPlatte, Nebraska requests approval of a special use trailer permit for eight (8) trailers to be used as temporary offices on the following described property, to wit: Tax Lot 15 in Sec 26, Twp 13N, Rng 13E of the 6th P.M., Sarpy County, Nebraska (Allied Road) =t guarantee that. Ken Tex suggested that they could do away with the single wides and use the double wides as permanent structures with the proper foundation Tom Wees made the comment that the area was very well kept and the trailers looked in good shape. Mangiamelli moved, seconded by Wees to recommend approval of a special use trailer permit for eight (8) trailers for a period of five years. Opposition to the motion was heard and the suggestion was made for a three (3) year period. The ballot was taken at that time. Ballot: Ayes - Buller, Denny, Johnson, Matthies, Mangiamelli, Gottsch and Wees. Nays - Leonard. Abstain - none. Absent - Nichols and Wear. Motion carried. 8. Gary Pink, 4920 South 66th Plaza, Omaha, Nebraska requests approval of a preliminary plat on a subdivision to be known as Pink Industrial Park (Lots 1-17) on the following described property, to wit: Tax Lots 4B, 5A1 and R3 located in Sec 19, Twp 14N, Rng 12E of the 6th P.M., Sarpy County, Nebraska. ( 2 mile south of Giles Road on 120th)=s requirements to meet drainage way setbacks. Joe Mangiamelli asked what they planned on doing with lots 12 & 13 because of the extensive amount of grading required. Mr. Jaeger stated that a small shop of some kind would probably be best suited for those lots. After a brief discussion, Mangiamelli moved, seconded by Johnson to recommend approval of a preliminary plat with the stipulation that they agree to cost share in the improvements to 120th Street and that the NRD =s recommendation be followed. Ballot: Ayes - Buller, Denny, Johnson, Leonard, Matthies, Mangiamelli, Gottsch and Wees. Nays - none. Abstain - none. Absent - Nichols and Wear. Motion carried.8A. Correspondence =t seem to have a problem with it since it would comply to the comp plan. *Ken Tex stated that at the next meeting (on the 23rd), we would be discussing livestock issues and gave the members a handout to look over prior to the meeting. *Tamra Walz stated that after reviewing the definitions, she felt they were worded correctly and that no apparent changes were needed. *Cindy Gilbert addressed the commissioners on plat fee increases on behalf of the administration and suggested a $25.00 increase across the board. Discussion ended with members of the commission feeling that increases were not necessary. Matthies moved, seconded by Wees that the meeting be adjourned. By a unanimous oral vote, Chair Meyer declared the meeting adjourned at 8:45 p.m. Respectfully Submitted,
