David Vermeulen said he wished to amend his original operational plan to utilize the facility for social gatherings and hay rack rides expanding the season through the rest of the year.

The operational plan submitted by Mr. Vermeulen was read into record.

David Vermeulen is anticipating a liquor license so that the social gatherings will be allowed to bring in their own liquor. He said the hours for parties would be until about 10 p.m. on week nights and midnight or 1 a.m. on weekends. He stated that there would be music, but he would not allow live bands. He said the building is insulated and that should help control noise.

Terry Hughes, 15802 Fairview Road, stated that Mr. Vermeulen lives directly east of him. His concerns with the application are sparks from the pit fires igniting his wood and mulch. He is also concerned about parties where there is alcohol consumption. He also feels they would be too loud.

Eileena Stovall, 15510 Fairview Road, also voiced her concern about the risk of fire, alcohol consumption and noise pollution.

Mr. Vermeulen doesn=t anticipate any fire hazard. The pits are located directly behind his building surrounded by gravel.
