Sheriff Jeff Davis

Sheriff Jeff Davis has been dedicated to public safety for over 31 years of service with the Sarpy County Sheriff ’s Department. He shows commitment and leadership in his career as a law enforcement official. Davis was a dispatcher for the Emergency 911 Operations Center at age 18. Davis then attained his Law Enforcement Officer Certification in 1976 and advanced through the ranks of the department. Sheriff Davis has worked in the various divisions, to include Road Patrol, Investigations, Jail and Administration. Sheriff Davis graduated from the 155th Session of the FBI Academy at Quantico , Virginia. Davis was appointed from Captain to the rank of Chief Deputy in 1999. In May, 2005, Davis was sworn in as Sarpy County Sheriff .

Sheriff Davis has been an active member of the Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 3, Knights of Columbus, National FBI Academy Graduate's Association, and Chairman of the Nebraska Law Enforcement Easter Seals Telethon. His achievements include Past President and Vice-President of the Sarpy County Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 3, recipient of the “Michael J. Elman Officer of the Year” Award. He received the Bellevue Kiwanis Chapter “Officer of the Year” award. While serving a term on the Bellevue City Council in 1996, Davis was presented the “Jewel of Bellevue” award by Past Bellevue Mayor Boyd. Davis promotes community involvement in blood donations to the American Red Cross and is a “Ten Gallon Blood Donor”.

Sheriff Davis has been a long-time resident of Bellevue and currently lives in Papillion with his wife, Mary Beth, and their three sons, Kevin, Jake and Aaron.
