Sheriff's Department Court Services
- The Court Transportation Unit is responsible for
moving prisoners from the jail to the courtrooms when scheduled to attend court. The
transportation vans are also used for transporting the inmates to other correctional
facilities. This unit is also called to pick up prisoners in other states that are wanted
in Nebraska.
- Court Security Officers are assigned to the
courthouse to monitor security within the courtrooms, court offices and county attorney
offices. Secured checkpoints must be passed through by persons entering into this
restricted area.
