Pet License
Sarpy County requires the issuing of a dog
license to a person owning, keeping or harboring one or more
dog(s), in the area of the County, outside of any
city limits. If you are in the city limits of; Bellevue,
Gretna, La Vista, or Papillion, you can apply for a pet license
at the Nebraska
Humane Society, or contact the appropriate city hall.
The information below
applies to unincorporated Sarpy County Pet Licenses only:
Licenses for the year are due JANUARY
1 and delinquent after February 28.
If you own, keep or harbor
one or more dogs you are required to license your animal.
In accordance with LB 101, Laws of Nebraska, 1963, and subsequent
Resolution of Sarpy County. License fees to be effect January
1, 1998 are:

* Copy of drivers license or other proof of age required.
Effective September 1, 2001 the Nebraska
Humane Society will be in charge of issuing dog licenses for
residents of unincorporated Sarpy County. The Sarpy
County Treasurer's office will no longer be issuing licenses.
Sarpy County requires the issuing of a dog license to a person

Licenses may be purchases at the Nebraska
Humane Society Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. - 7:00
p.m., Saturdays from 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m., and Sundays from
12 noon - 4:00 p.m.
