Sarpy County requires the issuing of a dog license to a person owning, keeping or harboring one or more dog(s), in the area of the County, outside of any city limits.

If you are in the city limits of; Bellevue, Gretna, La Vista, Papillion, Springfield or rural Sarpy County you can apply for a pet license at the Nebraska Humane Society, or contact the appropriate city hall.

The Nebraska Humane Society is in charge of issuing dog licenses for residents of unincorporated Sarpy County. Sarpy County requires the issuing of a dog license to a person owning, keeping or harboring one or more dogs in the area of the County, outside of any city limits.
