Sarpy County

Technical Training is provided by a contract (cost already covered by Sarpy County) with New Horizons Computer Learning Center of Omaha. City of La Vista, Bellevue, Papillion, Sarpy/Cass Health Department, and Nebraska Agency's that are at the Sarpy County Courthouse may attend this training.

Please note that all classes are first come/first serve and there is limited space in all classes. You must register for class and be confiirmed in the class to attend.

There are three (3) forms of training available:

   
On-site:

Instructor Led training at the Courthouse.

These training classes are generally 3 hours in duration and are taught at the Sarpy County Administration Conference Room A. The on-site classes are limited to 10 indivuals. Classess are start at either 9:00 am or 1:00 pm. Instructor Bio (Marty Shepard)

Offsite Traditional Instructor Led:

Live instructor that you can shake hands with in a classroom.

These classes are generally 8 hours in length and begin at 8:00 am and end at 4:00 pm. Individuals will have to travel to New Horizons learning center located at 11422 Miracle Hills Dr Suite 200, Omaha NE. Individuals will be responsible to register for class (and recieve confirmation), appear at the New Horizons Learning Center @ 8:00 am, and provide their own lunch.

Remote Instructor Led:

Instructor is at a remote location and you view them via computer/camera/speakers/microphone - (they can't see you).

These classes are generally 8 hours in length and begin at 8:00 am and end at 4:00 pm.

Remote Instructor Led training is live classroom training that is not in Omaha but can be attended via computer.  These classes and can be attended at any of the following:

    1. New Horizons training center (they provide a computer for the remote part)
    2. Sarpy County Information Systems (we have 3 workstations setup for remote training)
    3. Office (if you will be uninterrupted)
    4. Home (typically requires management  approval)
    5. or any location that has a computer with Internet Access, the ability to load plug-ins, microphone, speakers and dual monitors (very helpful).
